Carrying LEFT

   When carrying the baby, carry him/her away from you with your left arm in between the LEFT ear and the LEFT shoulder. 

When holding the baby up on your shoulder, try to position the baby's head so they are looking out to the LEFT (looking over their LEFT shoulder).
